Free Meals Coming to Pittsford Elementary Students This Fall
Written by Site Hub on July 19, 2025
Pittsford Central School District announced it will rejoin the National School Lunch Program this September, offering all elementary students free breakfast and lunch. The decision follows a community survey and committee review. While the free meal plan currently applies only to elementary schools, the district aims to expand it to secondary students by 2026. The initiative complies with federal and state laws and ensures that all elementary students, regardless of income, receive balanced meals. However, families are still encouraged to complete the Free Meals Application to maintain funding. The district is also rolling out a new interactive, allergen-sensitive digital menu system for easier meal planning.
