Fraud Alert Warning Issued by ESL Federal Credit Union

Written by on July 29, 2023

ESL Federal Credit Union is cautioning its members about a scam alert in the Greater Rochester region. The credit union has been notified by its members about text messages they’ve received, alleging that their ESL debit card transactions require verification.

The deceptive text message supposedly includes a phishing link. ESL advises its members to disregard this link, emphasizing that the credit union does not request members to verify or supply their information in this manner.
The credit union encourages anyone who has clicked on such a link in the text messages, or anyone seeking further information, to contact the company’s fraud department directly at 585-336-1140.
