Four developments underway at Sibley Square in Rochester

Written by on August 31, 2024

Sibley Square in Rochester, once a vacant former department store, is undergoing significant redevelopment under the ownership of WinnCompanies. The 1.1 million square foot mixed-use development now houses 190 businesses and hundreds of apartments, with more on the way. Four new developments, totaling 100,000 square feet, are set to be completed by spring 2025. These include UltraPhil, an antiseptic bottling plant; Haley & Aldrich, an environmental engineering firm; SWBR, an architecture firm; and Bandwidth, a cloud-based communications company. Upon completion, the site will serve 1,000 workers, residents, and shoppers daily. Ken Greene, the project’s commercial development director, envisions Sibley Square as a hub of innovation, education, and incubation, reviving the building’s historic role as a central meeting place for the community.
