The bail was set Monday, for former Minneapolis police officer facing second-degree murder and manslaughter charges for the death of George Floyd, at $1.25 million dollars during his first court appearance.
Fired police officer Derek Chauvin was the cop in the infamous video that sparked outrage across the country that held his knee on George Floyd’s neck causing him to die. The three other officers involved in the crime are charged with aiding and abetting second degree manslaughter charges and also still sitting in jail on a $750,000 bond.
Derek Chauvin next court appearance is June 29th.
