Food Pantries In Rochester & Across The Country Are See Less Donations Since Rising Food Prices

With all the food prices rising in the grocery stores it’s taking the toll one and places from restaurants to food pantries.
The price of everything is up more than 6%. A huge difference from 2020.
Some factors for increasing prices are because of late food truck deliveries due to the shortage of drivers.
Food pantries across the country are being hit by the food price increase especially in the Rochester area.
The Demetri House executive director Laurie Prizel noticed the difference in food donations this year.
I was just talking about how spending $80 at the grocery store only gives you about 2 days worth of food depending on what you buy.
