First Supermoon of 2021 will be an April “Pink” Moon
Written by Site Hub on April 25, 2021
On April 26th, the first supermoon of 2021 will rise. It is known as the “Pink” moon because it is a full moon in spring when flowers start to bloom. However, the moon will not look pink. It will have a yellow/orange color before reaching the signature white glow.
Rochester First explains when you can see it:
“The pink supermoon will rise in Western New York skies around 7:43 PM and peak at around 11:31 PM. Find a dark area with enough viewing space to spot the moon at its closest to the horizon, since this is when the moon will appear the brightest.”
