First Manhattan Wegmans Opens

In the city that never sleeps, New Yorkers are celebrating over the grand opening of Manhattan’s first Wegmans grocery store. The doors to this 87,500-square-foot establishment, nestled within the 770 Broadway building near the Astor Place subway station, opened yesterday.
This marks the second Wegmans store in New York City, with the first one having launched in the Brooklyn Navy Yard in 2019.
Adding to the excitement, the Lower Manhattan location will soon introduce an on-site dining experience, featuring a sushi and champagne-oyster bar, expected to debut in the first half of 2024.
