It was recently disclosed that the FBI received more than 4,500 phone tips in 2018. The phone tips were in relation to the investigation of then Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. The tips also provided “relevant” ones about former President Donald Trump’s White House Counsel.
On June 30th, the exact number of tips were disclosed via letter. This exact number was disclosed by Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse on Thursday.
The letter was shared in response to a two-year request from Senate Democrats.
CNN reported:
“The revelation reignited fierce accusations from liberals who say that the FBI and the Trump White House did not sufficiently examine allegations against Kavanaugh in the wake of accusations from Dr. Christine Blasey Ford that he had sexually assaulted her at a party in the Maryland suburbs when they were both in high school.”
