FBI Executes Search Warrant at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Resort

In a lengthy statement last night, Donald Trump stated that the FBI was conducting a search of his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida. Trump declined to comment on why the FBI executed the warrant on his resort but has said that the search was unannounced. While it isn’t exactly clear as to why the search was conducted, the Justice Department has been actively investigating the discovery of classified information in boxes of records that were taken to Trump’s Florida residence after he left the White House. Donald Trump was not present during the FBI’s search.
