The Federal Aviation Administration is currently investigating an incident that happened last weekend at JFK airport involving 2 planes from separate airlines.
A Delta airline Boeing 737 was set to depart after being cleared to takeoff on the runway but had to make an emergency stop traveling 115 mph after air controllers noticed another plane from American Airlines was getting ready to cross in front of the aircraft.
The Delta aircraft stopped about a 1000 feet away from where the American Airline plane was.
No one was hurt on either plane but passengers were shaken up.
