Three former prison guards — Anthony Farina, Nicholas Kieffer, and David Kingsley — have declined plea deals and will face trial starting June 3 in connection to the death of Robert Brooks, who was beaten at Marcy Correctional Facility.

A total of 10 guards were charged: six with murder, three with manslaughter, and one with evidence tampering.

Body camera footage showed Brooks being beaten in a medical exam room.

One former guard, Christopher Walrath, has already pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter, admitting he choked and beat Brooks.
