ESL employee accused of stealing $60k from customers

An employee of ESL Federal Credit Union, 21-year-old Aixa Resendiz, has been arrested and charged with second-degree grand larceny after allegedly stealing $60,070 from multiple customer accounts. Resendiz worked at the ESL branch located on Recreation Drive in Hopewell, Rochester, New York. The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reported that she was taken into custody last Thursday. Following her arraignment, Resendiz was released on her own recognizance pending further legal proceedings.

ESL Federal Credit Union is cooperating fully with the ongoing investigation by local authorities. The credit union has assured customers that all stolen funds will be reimbursed, ensuring that affected individuals do not suffer any financial loss due to the incident. Deputies emphasized that ESL is committed to resolving the matter promptly and maintaining trust with its customers.
