East African Hairstyle Brings Awareness To Coronavirus

Written by on May 13, 2020

In Nairobi, Kenya a hairstyle that resembles the shape of the coronavirus is becoming popular again. The spiked braids were in fashion but because women began to go with real and synthetic hairstyles it faded out.

Recently young people and kids have been getting the coronavirus hairstyle because it is affordable and it’s spreading awareness. In Kenya older people do not believe the virus is real as opposed to children who are practicing hand washing and wearing masks. In the article in TIME magazine the hair dresser said most adults are not wearing masks or sanitizing their hands.

Mother’s of the children wearing the coronavirus hairstyles say it’s affordable and fashionable for their daughters. Because of that it’s good for them and their pockets at a time where there is no work due to the restrictions.
