As if the news that Drake was releasing his first studio album in two years was not enough to excite fans, Drake also dropped a mixtape to accompany his album announcement.

The mixtape, called ‘Dark Lane Demo Tapes’ is a mix of previously leaked music and songs from the artist’s Soundcloud. Popular musicians such as Chris Brown, Young Thug, Playboi Carti, and Giveon feature on various tracks of the mixtape. The mixtape contains 14 songs and is said to contain ‘new vibes’ by Drake himself.

The new album, which is set to be released later this summer will be the first studio album released by Drake since his album ‘Scorpio’ in 2018. Drake has gone from strength to strength throughout his career and recently celebrated the announcement that he was the first rapper in Billboard’s history to have debuted three new songs in the number one spot of the ‘Hot 100’ songs chart. It is currently unknown how many tracks will be on the album or what its official release date is but Drake fans will be able to listen and enjoy his mixtape until more news of his album is released.
