Written by on August 14, 2024

Hip-hop legend Dr. Dre has set his sights on an unexpected goal: competing in archery at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the 59-year-old music producer expressed his serious intent to qualify for the event, revealing that his passion for archery dates back to his junior high school days when he was part of a team. Although his music career took precedence, Dre’s interest in archery was recently rekindled after his son gifted him targets and equipment for Father’s Day. He now practices regularly in his backyard, exceeding the Olympic qualifying distance of 77 feet by shooting from 90 feet. With four years to prepare, Dre is determined to add “Olympic competitor” to his already impressive list of achievements.
