Donald Glover Announces His Last Two Childish Gambino Albums

Written by on April 18, 2024

Donald Glover, widely recognized for his musical persona Childish Gambino, has announced the release of his final two albums. Revealed during his appearance at Coachella, Glover disclosed that the first album will be a completed version of his earlier project “3.15.20,” which will be released under its original title “Atavista” and will also be available on vinyl. This album had previously been released in an unfinished form during the pandemic, under circumstances Glover described as rushed and unmastered. The second album will serve as the soundtrack for his upcoming film “Bando Storm and the New World,” inspired by iconic soundtracks such as Prince’s work for the 1989 “Batman” and the “Batman Forever” soundtrack in 1995. Glover, who has also made significant strides in television and film, mentioned his involvement in other creative projects, including an anime with comedian Zack Fox and a cartoon titled “Country Mouse, City Mouse.” These announcements follow Glover’s continued success in various entertainment sectors, including his acting role in Amazon Prime’s “Mr. & Mrs. Smith.”
