Dominique Fishback to Receive The Creative Collective’s Inaugural Culture Certified Award

Dominique Fishback, an Emmy and BAFTA nominee known for her remarkable roles in film and television, is set to be honored with the inaugural Culture Certified award by The Creative Collective during their first-ever Creative Class celebration. This award aims to recognize Black talents, both established and emerging, who have made significant contributions to shaping cultural landscapes. Fishback’s recent achievements include an Emmy nomination for her role in “Swarm,” a Prime Video series, and recognition from various award bodies for her performances. Additionally, her acting prowess was showcased in “Transformers: Rise of the Beasts” and the critically acclaimed “Judas and the Black Messiah.” Beyond acting, Fishback is also celebrated for her work as a spoken word poet and playwright, with plans to adapt her one-woman show “Subverted” into a special project. The Creative Class event, scheduled for February 28 in New York, aims to celebrate Black culture-shifters from diverse fields, marking the end of Black History Month.
