Thirty years after the founding of the Ruff Ryders record label, “Ruff Ryder’s Chronicles” tells the fascinating behind-the-scenes story of what it took to build the company and relives the extraordinary impact it had on Hip-Hop.
“Ruff Ryders Chronicles” is a five part docuseries that delves into the legendary label. This event will chronicle the gritty street origins to its meteoric rise, shattering fall and ultimate rebirth. This one is gonna be good! I can feel it.
Label owners, Dee and Waah Dean hustled to survive the streets of South Bronx and applied that street knowledge to grow their talent management company. It went on to influence the success of artists like DMX, Eve, The Lox and more. To match the lifestyle branding of the entertainment, The Deans opened Ruff Ryders Motorcycle chapters across America, which are still popular today.
Following the explosive conclusion to BET’s “No Limit Chronicles”, the Ruff Ryders Chronicles will premiere Wednesday, August 12th at 10pm eastern on BET.
