Disney+ has just announced that they will be producing 10 new Star Wars spinoffs and 10 Marvel Universe movies.
According to a presentation to investors led by Disney chief executive Bob Chapek, subscriber levels continue to climb. Last month, over 10 million people signed up for the streaming service, bringing worldwide numbers past 85 million.
In order to keep these types of numbers going, Disney is doubling down on production with its heaviest brands. Pixar will be part of this push as well, with 15 animated movies and 15 live action titles in progress.
On top of original content, the entertainment staple is producing spinoffs, like a “Beauty and the Beast” prequel, a “Moana” animated series and even a series with the Kardashians.
