Diddy Calls New Docuseries By Netflix & 50 Cent ‘Shameful Hit Piece’

Sean “Diddy” Combs‘ representative has heavily criticized Netflix and 50 Cent’s latest docuseries, Sean Combs: The Reckoning. They’ve reportedly described the documentary as a “shameful hit piece” and an attempt to “sensationalize every minute of Mr. Combs’s life.”
Netflix’s Sean Combs: The Reckoning explores the legal troubles surrounding American music producer Sean “Diddy” Combs. However, Comb’s representative has criticized the docuseries for using “stolen footage” and had “expected fairness” from the streaming giant (via Variety).
“Netflix’s so-called ‘documentary’ is a shameful hit piece. Today’s GMA teaser confirms that Netflix relied on stolen footage that was never authorized for release,” the official statement read. “It came to us, we obtained the footage legally and have the necessary rights,” Stapleton said. “We moved heaven and earth to keep the filmmaker’s identity confidential. One thing about Sean Combs is that he’s always filming himself, and it’s been an obsession throughout the decades.”
Stapleton further added, “We also reached out to Sean Combs’ legal team for an interview and comment multiple times, but did not hear back.” Sean Combs: The Reckoning is currently streaming on Netflix. Originally reported by Harsha Panduranga on ComingSoon.
