Day 4 of Supreme Court Hearings for Ketanji Brown Jackson

If you haven’t been following the supreme court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson’s hearings, you have been missing out on an abundance of questions that Jackson is handling like a true pro. Yesterday marked day four of her hearing, bring it to a wrap for her public hearing.

Jackson is moving onto the next phase of her confirmation process, in which a committee meeting will take place next Monday where Republicans will be allowed to hold her vote over for a week, and the committee is expected to vote on her nomination on April 4.

After the Republican vote, there will be a final Senate floor vote to be determined. Senate Democratic leaders have said they hope to have a vote confirming Jackson before their Easter recess since Democrats can confirm Jackson’s nomination to the Supreme Court without Republican support, but only if every Democrat votes in favor. If that is to happen, Vice President Kamala Harris breaks a tie.
