After reading this terrifying story, ladies please be safe while using dating and ride sharing apps.
Authorities arrested a Connecticut man for killing and raping women he targeted through dating and ride-sharing apps.
Danueal Drayton, 27, was arrested sometime last week in L.A. by a joint New York and New Jersey Task Force after law enforcement officers in New York City tracked him to a hotel there.
When authorities found Drayton he was in a hotel room with a woman he kidnapped, held captive, raped, and beat for two days after sharing an Uber ride. The woman found in the hotel was Drayton’s third victim.
Drayton killed Samantha Stewart, a nurse he met through the dating app Tinder on July 17th in her Queens, NY, apartment by strangling her to death. He is also linked to raping another woman in Brooklyn and authorities believe he may have raped or killed other woman.
Once Drayton was in custody he confessed to killing seven other women… Again ladies PLEASE be careful when using these dating apps and even when catching an Uber or Lyft.
Drayton said he didn’t want to kill Samatha Stewart but he heard voices and he said “they told me she had to die.” He also told New York Daily News the “voices” were using a  “direct-energy weapons” on him to control his mind.
In L.A. he has been charged with attempted first-degree murder, forcible rape, penetration with a foreign object, and false imprisonment by violence. Drayton’s bail is $1.25 million and he will be extradited to NYC at the end of August to face the charges he has for killing Samatha Stewart.
Please be safe while using dating and ride-share apps.
