Damar Hamlin Gets Emotional Presenting ESPY Award to Bills Training Staff

Just over half a year since collapsing on the field, Damar Hamlin, Buffalo Bills’ safety, honored the training staff who saved his life with the Pat Tillman Award for Service at the 2023 ESPY Awards.
As he moved towards the microphone, Hamlin was visibly moved, wiping away tears, and he waited close to 40 seconds for the applauding crowd to quiet down before presenting the award.
“Our guests of honor, this year’s recipients of the Pat Tillman Award for Service, are the training staff of the Buffalo Bills,” announced Hamlin. The training team then stepped up to the stage, where they were warmly greeted with hugs from Hamlin.
