After RG&E proposed a hike in its gas and electric prices and amid billing issues that we’ve investigated for months. Local grassroots organization Metro Justice and City Council Vice President Mary Lupien will host a town hall on Thursday to call for a public takeover.

The meeting will run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Thomas P. Ryan Recreation Center, 530 Webster Avenue, at community rooms 9 and 10. You can RSVP here. Participants can share their frustrations and learn more about the process of making RG&E a community-owned company.
