Faith Morris, a DoorDash driver in Milwaukee, had her 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander vandalized after a customer followed her home over an incomplete food delivery on July 11. Morris lost phone service over past due bills mid-delivery and was unable to complete the order.
She returned home, canceled it through the app, and believed the issue was resolved.
However, the customer accused her of theft and showed up at her house shortly after, caught on Ring camera smashing her car with a tire iron while the food was still in the vehicle.
Morris suspects the customer used DoorDash’s GPS to track her, and later learned a company rep had improperly shared her confidential information, a violation of DoorDash policy.
Morris, now without a car or income, says she and her four children no longer feel safe and are being forced to leave their home without a clear plan for where to go next.
