Written by on February 9, 2022

No, you did not misread the title. Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo could be setting his eyes on a political comeback, according to several news sources. After resigning from office after multiple sexual assault allegations, CNN reports Cuomo might be putting himself in the running for the office that played a role in the resignation, he is putting his name in the hat for New York Attorney General. Debra Katz, an attorney to one of Cuomo’s accusers, commented on this news, stating: “Disgraced former Governor Andrew Cuomo must think little of New Yorkers to think they would want him back. That he dodged criminal charges is not vindication.”

Erica Vladimir, the co-founder of the New York State Sexual Harassment Working Group, stated in hearing the news: “As someone who thinks every day of the fact that the person who sexually harassed me could any day run for office again, it is terrifying. And I think what’s more terrifying is the fact that not that this person who harmed us might have the thought process of trying to get back involved in politics, but that there are people out there who would welcome them with open arms.”
