Crash in Perinton Involving Multiple Cars & School Bus

This morning, two adults and a two-year-old child were taken to the hospital after a crash in Perinton around 8 a.m.

According to Monroe County Sheriffs, a pickup truck driving east on Route 31 ran a red light and crashed into an SUV that was turning onto Route 31 West. The SUV then crashed into the back of a school bus of the Lyons Central School District. The bus was carrying two adults and three students at the time.

Sheriffs believe the glare from the sun may have led to the accident. The driver of the pickup truck and the driver of the SUV are being treated for minor injuries, and the two-year-old child was taken to the hospital as a precaution. So far, no major injuries have been reported.

The pickup truck driver who ran the red light received a ticket.
