Coronavirus, or COVID-19, has altered how people enjoy their world. Given recent updates, it appears that social changes to stop its spread are becoming the new normal…

Supermodel Naomi Campbell, who is well-known for her extensive fight against germs while traveling, posted an Instagram photo on Tuesday in which she showed off her latest fashion choice. She wore black sneakers with a white hazmat suit, green face mask and pink latex gloves while waiting in the Tom Bradley International Terminal at the Los Angeles International Airport.

Actor Tom Hanks reported online on Wednesday that he and his wife, actress Rita Wilson, were quarantined in Australia after testing positive for the coronavirus. They had both begun to feel aches, fatigue and slight chills and were tested out of precaution. Hanks posted that they were following official direction given public health and safety concerns.

In the meantime, major events across the country have been canceled or their live audiences asked to watch the events from home. Talk shows are proceeding without studio audiences. The city of Chicago has cancelled many of its yearly St. Patrick’s Day events. Here in Rochester, the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra has postponed all of its Eastman Theatre Kodak Hall events until April 15. The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival scheduled for April has been postponed and moved to October. The NBA initially asked fans to stay home while teams played in empty arenas, but a Utah Jazz player’s positive diagnosis has now resulted in a suspended season.
