Aaliyah Shares How Her Boyfriend Supported Her Through The Toughest Moment Of Her Life

In late November, Aaliyah Jay launched a six-part TikTok life series documenting her decision to start over in 2025. She opened up about overcoming grief, depression, weight gain, financial loss, and the most challenging season of her life.

She wrote, “So here I am, open, transparent, and vulnerable, sharing literally everything I went through.” She added, “How I navigated it, what it taught me and what I did to overcome it. Idc if ppl judge or talk about me either, life is what it is!” she continued. Throughout the series, Aaliyah also discussed her love life and meeting a man during her healing journey.

Although she planned to focus on her mental health, she admitted she kept falling deeply in love. She shared glimpses of them planning their future, moving in together, ring shopping, and even looking at baby items.

Later, her physical health took a toll when she revealed she was diagnosed with pre-diabetes. “In the era of Ozempic for aesthetic, I actually had to take Ozempic for my health,” she shared. This occurred while her grandmother had just passed away, “My boyfriend held my hands, prayed with me, and said we’re gonna change this around right now,” Aaliyah recalled.

They committed to change as he trained her, supported her, and stayed present during her lowest moments. Over time, she experienced a major transformation both physically and mentally. Unknowingly, Ozempic increased her fertility, leading to an unexpected pregnancy. “When the clock strikes 12 on my birthday what I wished for was happy life, healthy life, marriage, body and baby,” she said. Her wish came true the next day, when she discovered she was expecting.

Sadly, before celebrating fully, Aaliyah experienced a chemical pregnancy. This time, she said, she leaned on her faith with God and the tools she gained to heal. She ended the series reflecting on rediscovering herself and choosing her own well-being.

“Biggest lesson choosing myself,” she shared. “As for my relationship we are thriving,” Aaliyah added. “He really proved to me that love could feel safe, steady, communicative and peaceful,” she continued.

She explained he showed her the importance of partners who support your nervous system.

“He stayed in it even when I struggled with myself,” she said. “He helped me grow into a better version of me,” Aaliyah concluded. “That’s something I’ll forever be grateful for.”

On Friday, the beauty influencer surprised many supporters when she revealed she is engaged. While continuing to keep his identity private, she was still happy to share this major milestone with the world. Aaliyah’s post shared a video of the couple in all white on the beach. Her man kneeled on one knee in front of a pink flower arch during the proposal. Her caption read, “In every lifetime, I’d find you. In every lifetime, I’d choose you. Yes to forever with you.”

She also took to X, sharing that she’s manifesting a happy and healthy baby in 2026. Along with another tweet that read, “IS THIS A DREAM? I LITERALLY CANNOT BELIEVE THIS. I CANNOT STOP CRYIN”
