City of Rochester searching for new manager of Blue Cross Arena

The City of Rochester is initiating a search for a new manager to oversee the operations of the Blue Cross Arena, a prominent 14,000-seat sports and entertainment venue located in the downtown area. This decision aligns with Mayor Evans’ vision of revitalizing the city’s center as a vibrant hub for living, working, and entertainment, with the arena playing a key role in this transformation. Currently managed by Rochester Arena, LLC, a subsidiary of Pegula Sports and Entertainment, the venue will continue under its management until April 2025. Additionally, the Blue Cross Arena is set to benefit from a $7 million upgrade as part of Rochester’s ROC the Riverway initiative, marking a significant investment in the city’s infrastructure and entertainment facilities. Interested parties are encouraged to apply for the management position as the city aims to enhance the arena’s contribution to Rochester’s cultural and economic vitality.
