City Of Rochester Mayor Malik Evans Hold Press Conference Addresses Violence And COVID-19

Rochester Mayor Malik Evans held a press conference detailing his plans for the first few weeks in office. His focus will be COVID-19 and the violence in the city of Rochester. He addressed the first homicide in Rochester that happened Sunday on North St. and was 14-year-old Julius Greer Jr. He was in 9th grade at Leadership Academy.
Mayor Evans is asking the community to step up in regards to the violence and report anything that will assist the police in this crime or any other crimes. He also spoke about COVID fatigue and continuing to be diligent in masking and vaccinations.
