According to a press release from the City of Rochester, this year’s 4th of July celebrations have been cancelled due to New York State’s limit on mass gatherings due to COVID-19.
Regulations from Phase 4 limit gatherings to 50 people or less.
Traditionally, Rochestarians come out of the woodwork and convene by the Genesee River with their friends and family to watch the 4th of July fireworks display, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, this year will be different.
