Chadwick Boseman wins Outstanding Actor at NAACP Image Awards

At the NAACP Image Awards, Chadwick Boseman posthumously won the category of Outstanding Actor in a Motion Picture for his performance in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom as Levee Greene.
Boseman passed on August 28th, 2020 at age 43. He had a four-year battle of colon cancer, which he had kept hidden from the public. While his role in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom was his final film role, his most famous role was in Marvel’s The Black Panther as King T’Challa.
His wife, Taylor Simone Ledward accepted the award on the behalf of her late husband with an emotional, tear-jerking speech:
