Chad Daybell was found guilty of murder and conspiracy charges in the deaths of his former wife, Tammy Daybell, and Lori Vallow Daybell’s two children, Tylee Ryan and Joshua “JJ” Vallow. The children were discovered buried on Daybell’s property in June 2020. Prosecutors argued that Daybell, driven by bizarre religious beliefs and his desire to be with Lori Vallow, orchestrated the murders. Texts revealed he considered Tammy an obstacle, manipulating situations to justify the crimes. Daybell was also convicted of insurance fraud, having increased Tammy’s life insurance shortly before her death. The verdict may lead to the death penalty, with the jury considering aggravating and mitigating circumstances.
