Aqua Porter, who has dedicated her post-retirement years to fighting systemic poverty in Greater Rochester, has been honored as a Woman of Distinction by the New York State Senate. Porter is executive director of the Rochester Monroe Anti-Poverty Initiative. She spent 36 years at Xerox as a mechanical engineer before joining RMAPI in 2020. Sen.
