Cardi B Said No To Super Bowl Halftime Show

Cardi B could’ve brought her New York swag to the Super Bowl stage. The “Bodak Yellow” rapper told Billboard she declined a previous offer, but would be open to doing it in the future. “I got asked to do the Super Bowl and I denied it. I feel like soon, if I get to do it, I’m going to have more hits,” Cardi B told the outlet for a cover story. “I’m going to be more experienced and I’m going to eat that up.” It’s unclear when Cardi B was asked to perform, but hip hop has had a place at the Super Bowl halftime show in recent years, the most recent being Grammy Award-winning rapper Kendrick Lamar. Cardi B, has been making waves on social media ahead of the release of her highly anticipated album “Am I The Drama?,” scheduled for later this month. One of her latest viral moments stemmed from the trial for a $24 million civil case, where Beverly Hills security guard Emani Ellis accused the rapper of assault in 2018. The “Outside” rapper was found not liable in the civil case on Tuesday, Sept. 2.
