Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion lead the nominations for the BET Hip Hop Awards. With nine nominations apiece. Drake earned eight nods across seven categories. Other rappers and artists who scored nominations, include Moneybagg Yo, Tyler, the Creator, Migos, DJ Khaled, 21 Savage & Metro Boomin and J. Cole. Lil Nas X garnered two nods for his hit “Montero (Call Me by Your Name),” while Sweetie and Doja Cat got a nomination for their collab “Best Friend.” The 16th annual BET Hip Hop Awards is set to air Oct. 5 at 9 p.m. on BET while the show will be filmed Oct. 1 at the Cobb Energy Center in Atlanta.
