Boyz II Men To Release 1st Country Album
Written by Tariq on October 28, 2026
Grammy-winning R&B trio Boyz II Men is entering a new arena: country music. The group behind “End of the Road” and “I’ll Make Love to You” has signed with Warner Records Nashville and plans to release its first country album in 2027, the members told The Tennessean in an interview published Monday.
Boyz II Men has sold more than 60 million records worldwide and won four Grammy Awards. The group formed in 1985 with original members Nathan Morris, Wanya Morris, Shawn Stockman and Michael McCary, and became a trio in 2003 when McCary left due to health issues. The untitled country project will be the group’s first full album in a decade, following “Under the Streetlight” in 2017.
Stockman told the newspaper that the trio felt after three decades in music that the time was right to try the genre. He said the group has long admired how country songwriters turn stories into melody, and he described making the record as a learning experience. The members worked with award-winning Nashville songwriters, Stockman said, and he called the city a creative refuge. Nathan Morris said R&B remains the group’s foundation, but the melodies, meanings and feelings in country are close enough that the move feels like coming home. He said the trio has done nearly everything it can in R&B and wants to share the same music with a different audience.
