Boys and Girls Club Partnering With Champions Academy

Rochester’s Own Roland Williams is not only a Philanthropist, Entrepreneur, and former NFL Superbowl champion but also the founder of the Champion Academy that’s been around since 2015 to help teens in the area overcome barriers and reach their full potential. As of now the Champion’s Academy program is servicing 100 teens and with this partnership, they are looking to add more.  “So, I’ve taken all those experiences now to pour into the champion academy to help young people grow, and now with this exciting partnership with the Boys & Girls Club, the future is bright and I’m looking forward to it, “said Williams.

He says from when things first started to now he has witnessed positive transformations in teens “Over the last nine years we’ve had some amazing transformations of students going from 1.0s to 4.0s, from being inactive in the community to now being community leaders and now he is looking to impact the lives of more young adults by partnering with the boys and girls club,” he said. Executive Director of the Boys and Girls Club Dwayne Mahoney said he is looking to impact the lives of more young adults by partnering with the Champions Academy. Williams says growing up in Rochester, the Boys and Girls Club on Genessee Street was where he frequented as a child and he’s excited to give back experiences he’s gained.
