‘Bluey’ feature film coming in 2027

The beloved Australian animated series Bluey is set to make its big-screen debut in 2027. The Walt Disney Company and BBC Studios announced that a feature film, written and directed by series creator Joe Brumm, will bring the adventures of the lovable blue heeler dog, Bluey, and her family to theaters worldwide. Series regulars Melanie Zanetti and David McCormack will return to voice the characters.

Brumm expressed excitement about creating a theatrical experience for families, stating that Bluey deserves a cinematic celebration. Since its debut in 2018, Bluey has become a global phenomenon, praised for its heartfelt stories about play, family, and imagination. In 2024, the show was the most-watched series globally on Disney+.
