Black Panther Director Ryan Coogler Signs A 5 Year Production Deal With Disney

According to reports from Deadline, director Ryan Coogler’s production company, Proximity Media has signed a 5 year deal with Disney to direct a Wakanda – based series for Disney +.
Cooler is currently shooting a Black Panther Sequel, but plans on beginning production on the new series as soon as possible. The deal doesn’t stop there: Coogler will probably be making other series for the channel as well over the next few years.
Bob Iger, executive chairman of the Walt Disney Company had this to say about the new partnership:
