A couple bought a home in Greece back in May but haven’t moved yet because they’re active Coast Guards stationed in California.
Another family saw a Craigslist ad about a house in Greece for rent that was in their budget. The only problem it’s the same house the couple in California bought in May.
The family that rented the house shows an agreement lease they signed. The scammer had them reach out and pay a locksmith to change the locks and told them he would take it off the rent next month.
Once everything hit the fan they found out it was all a scam and now putting both families in a terrible situation.
Greece police told the family they had to be out of the house but worked a temporary deal out with both families.
That same ad was posted multiple times for a few days.
