Babysitter Finds Man Hiding Under Child’s Bed in Kansas

A Kansas babysitter’s attempt to reassure a child that there was no “monster” under the bed took a terrifying turn when she discovered a man hiding there. The Barton County Sheriff’s Office reported that the man, 27, had previously lived in the home and was under a protection order due to past incidents. A struggle ensued when the babysitter confronted him, leading to a child being knocked over. The suspect fled but was later apprehended and charged with kidnapping, burglary, battery, and violating the protection order. Authorities noted that while such fears are often childhood myths, this disturbing case was all too real.
