Attorney General Letitia James Investigation Leads To Refunds For COVID 19 Test
Written by Andre on July 11, 2022
Over 600 New Yorkers are eligible to get a refund for COVID 19 tests they took that promised results in 24 hours but did not receive them in that time frame.
Attorney General Letitia James announced last week that 692 people can receive over $122,000 for late results. The refunds are for those who paid for the expedited results but didn’t get them. AG James’ office also called for the companies who claim 24 hour results to change their advertising following the investigation.
The refunds are paid by the COVID testing company Clear 19. There are two other companies ClearMD and SameDay Health that previously refunded money as well.
The Attorney General said last December it would be investigating private COVID testing companies who claim 24 hour results.
