Asymptomatic Rapid COVID-19 Testing Facilities Opened Up Yesterday

Yesterday marked the first official day that the asymptomatic testing locations at were open to the public in Monroe County.
Hundreds of people drove to East High school on E Main St. to see if they were carrying the coronavirus at the cities newest rapid testing site.
The new testing sites highlight an improvement in accessibility. Not everyone has cars so now they can make an appointment for a walk up.
Ronnie Zuchegno and his family found out more about COVID-19 after getting a free rapid test at East High School. Zuchegno who is deaf told WROC about his experience, translated by his wife.
“I’m learning how to stop the spread, but the test was very easy the process was easy and I recommend register, it’s important to register, pre-registration,” said Zuchegno.
The rapid testing is just that — if the test comes back positive, they will let you know in 2o minutes. If it’s negative, they will call you in 72 hours.
