During the COVID-19 lockdown, many music events and tours have been canceled, leaving many people feeling deflated and upset. To help keep people entertained and positive during the lockdown, some black artists are hosting virtual concerts online. Here are some of the top events featuring black artists you can look forward to…
On May 7th, the app HouseParty is hosting a prom with DJs D-Nice and Zack. The ‘prom’ will begin at 8 pm.
Bloc Party and other famous bands will take part in the Shaky Knees Virtual Festival which is taking place on the 1st-3rd of May. The stream can be found on the Shaky Knees Virtual Festival website.
On May 9th, legendary British DJ and house producer will be streaming live to present Carl Cox’s Awesome Soundwaves. Expect to hear some impressive techno that will sound amazing even through your phone or laptop.
John Legend hasn’t created an official live stream schedule, but if you follow his Instagram (@JohnLegend) he regularly films and performs live performances from his home. If you miss a performance, don’t worry, they’ll be available on his Instagram page for 24 hours.
Hopefully, these streams will help fill the void music fans are feeling while all concerts are temporarily prohibited.
