April 27th is National Prescription Drug Day

April 27th is National Prescription Drug Day where people are encouraged to drop off expired, unused or unwanted prescriptions to help prevent misuse of medications.

There are a few drop off locations in the area.

Wegmans locations in the Rochester area that are taking part in this initiative include:

  • 3701 Mt. Read Boulevard

  • 2301 Lyell Avenue

  • 776 Calkins Road

  • 900 Holt Road

  • Canandaigua (345 Eastern Boulevard)

  • Brockport (6660 4th Section Rd)

  • Chili-Paul (3175 Chili Avenue)

  • Irondequoit (525 Titus Avenue)

  • Penfield (2157 Penfield Road)

  • Newark (800 West Miller Street)

  • The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is partnering with the Wegmans stores in Henrietta, Penfield, Brockport, and Chili. Liquids, needles, and sharps are not accepted.
