Amber Alert Issued For Abducted Child

UPDATE: The Amber Alert has been canceled. Authorities said James Fernandez Reyes is home safe with his family. An update will be given Tuesday morning.

Police are not releasing any other information at this time.

An Amber Alert was issued by the RPD at 10:23 pm Monday for a 14-year-old male abducted from Myrtle Street. The child abducted is male and Hispanic his name is James S. Fernandez Reyes. He was taken from the area of Myrtle St. at around 4:30 pm on Monday the 15th of November.

He is 5 feet 3 inches and weighs 120 pounds. James has brown hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a black jacket, blue pants, white Nike Air Force One sneakers.

He was possibly abducted by 4-5 black males with masks. The suspects are unknown at this time according to the Amber Alert. The vehicle however has been identified as a mid-size SUV gold color with white NYS license plates. The SUV was last seen traveling north on Myrtle St.

The child was taken under circumstances that lead Rochester Police to believe that they are in imminent danger of serious harm and/or death.

Anyone with any information on this abduction is asked to call 911 or the Rochester Police Department at 585-428-1107 and to report a sighting.
