AMBER Alert Cancelled for 4-year-old and Mother

A New York State Amber Alert issued Saturday morning for a four-year-old boy and his mother has been canceled after the two were found safe. According to the Rochester Police Department, the two were “forcefully abducted” from a home on Fulton Avenue around 1:30a am, and with the help of tips from community members, they were located 14 hours later at a home on Reynolds Street, both found safe and unharmed.
RPD has identified 24-year-old Daniel Ponder as the person responsible for the abduction of a 4-year-old child and his mother. Ponder was transported to the Monroe County Jail and is expected to be arraigned yesterday in Rochester City Court.
