Albany Postpones Friday COVID Vaccination Appointments At Kodak Hawkeye Because Of High Winds
Written by Site Hub on March 26, 2021
Due to severe weather predictions that are forecast in the Rochester area, Governor Andrew Cuomo has announced that all of the second dose appointments for Friday are being postponed and rescheduled for tomorrow, Sunday and Monday.
Anyone who had their appointment today should be receiving text or email with more specific details on rescheduling.
Governor Cuomo gave a statement regarding the situation saying:
“Given the Friday weather forecast for Rochester and projected winds of up to 60 miles per hour, we are postponing vaccine appointments at the site of the former Kodak Hawkeye parking lot in order to protect New Yorkers getting vaccinated and site staff. This vaccine is about protecting public health — and we have to make sure everyone stays safe as shots are administered. As we have done before in the face of inclement weather, we are going to reschedule all Friday appointments for the site and make sure no one misses their dose.”
